Expressions

Introduction:

Expressions allow you to add life and emotion to your characters. That’s why it was essential for us to include this in Human Generator!

You’ll be able to select from a wide range of pre-made expressions in the Human Generator expressions panel.

Base and composite expressions:

All expressions are built upon 17 base shapekeys. These include things like ‘Smile’, ‘Frown’ and ‘Surprise’.

Composite expressions are combinations of multiple base expressions, for example ‘Surprised Smile’. The amount of composite expressions is limitless!

Expression sliders:

After you’ve chosen an expression from the available presets, a slider appears in the UI. This slider allows you to control the strength of the expression, and to make your own combination between multiple shape keys.

In the case of composite expressions, multiple base shapekeys get combined into one single shapekey. This way you can control complex composite expressions with just one slider.

Next to each slider is the keyframe button, to animate your expressions straight from the Human Generator UI.
